In 2005, My Minotaur work received a Silver medal at the Francophone Games in Niamey, Niger. With the support of several influential women and men in the country, I explored the issue of child marriage and child pregnancy occurring there. The photographs in Minotaur Africa conflate the Greek myth of the Minotaur to the situation faced by young girls in Niger, highlighting that as our humanity is shared acorss cultures, so is our folly.
