Introductory & Intermediate Oil Painting

Service Description

The fundamentals of oil painting are taught in this unique Atelier style class. Introductory students are taken step by step through the reproduction of a masterwork of their choice. Lessons include: how to create an under painting, colour mixing, blending, glazing, scumbling, and toning.  This class is suited to beginners, yet experienced artists will benefit from exposure to traditional techniques they may not have yet tried. Intermediate and advanced students are guided and mentored as they produce their own body of work in a variety of styles: realism, photorealism, impasto/impressionism, or abstraction. Art historical context is provided throughout. Eleni Bakopoulos endeavours to create a sense of community and connection in her classes as she shares her passion for painting and the arts with her students.
